Woodside is just north of Portola Valley. A good part of Woodside is zoned for parcels of 3 acres or more. This makes for multi-million dollar estates with stables, pools, tennis courts, creeks, and significantly large houses.

There is a rustic quality much prized in Woodside. Many residents are involved with riding, jumping and training horses (English). There are several very pleasant restaurants and a fine market in the little town of Woodside. Woodside extends up into the hills where prices are usually lower in relation to the required travel distance up narrow winding roads.
